About
Stephanie is a curator and advisor with twenty-five years of global experience building corporate and private collections. With expertise in contemporary art and design, she has consulted for institutions, independent projects, exhibitions, and individuals.
She began her career in the Director’s Office of The Museum of Modern Art, New York, before accepting a curatorial post for the seminal PaineWebber Art Collection, founded by Donald B. Marron. She remained with this collection through its acquisition by UBS in 2000 and rose to Divisional Vice President of the UBS Art Collection. Her experience at UBS culminated in 2005 with the staging of Contemporary Voices — the first temporary exhibition to occupy the newly renovated galleries of The Museum of Modern Art.
During her tenure at PaineWebber and UBS, she also served as a curatorial project coordinator to John Szarkowski, who was selected to cultivate a photography collection following his retirement as Chief Curator of Photography at MoMA.
After working for Sotheby’s Private Treaty Sales, where she staged exhibitions of work for private sale, Stephanie returned to the world of finance and corporate art. She currently advises private and corporate clients and creates collections — including site-specific works and commissions — that can be seen in buildings and private residences internationally and Landmarked properties throughout the United States.
